Direct Cosmetics Haul

I was recently given the opportunity to choose a few products from Direct Cosmetics - a website which sells make-up, haircare, fragrances and skincare from high quality brands at discounted prices.
I decided to go for beauty products that I haven't tried before, as shown below:

My first choice was one the 'Direct Cosmetics Deals'*, in which you get 6 nail polishes and a Bourjois make-up bag* for only £6! According to the Direct Cosmetics website, the RRP for this set is £41.59, providing an exceptional discount of £35.59! The polishes included are as follows:
Maybelline Forever Strong in 'Metal Me Teal!'*
Revlon Chroma Chameleon in 'Pink Quartz'*
Nicole by OPI in 'Deeply in Love'*
Sally Hansen Magnetic in 'Red-y Response'*
NYC Nail Polish in 'Canal Street'*
L'Oreal Color Riche in 'Flaming Sunset'*

I was really impressed that the brands are of high quality and that they hadn't just thrown in loads of cheap nail polishes. A Nicole by OPI nail polish alone costs around £7.99 in Superdrug!

My next choice was the L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic Mascara*:

I've wanted to try this mascara for a while, but at a RRP of £10.99 I've never been willing to risk wasting my money. However, Direct Cosmetics offers the product for a mere £4.99! Unfortunately, I didn't realise this was in the shade 'Hypnotic Brown', so I'm not sure if I'll actually get any use out of it - but for those who prefer a lighter and less dramatic look, this would be great for you!

As you can see above, on one side is a doe foot applicator with the lip colour and the other side has a conditioning balm. I love my matte lipsticks but the only thing that bothers me about them is how drying they can be on the lips, so this product seems like a great idea! At £3.99 (rather than the RRP of £8.99), I think it's definitely worth trying.

Here's a couple of swatches, before and after the product dries:

As you can see, the product dries to a really matte finish. I also found that it doesn't transfer at all on the skin! Additionally, I love the colour - it would be a great shade to rock in the summer.

This eyeliner is another product I've always wanted to try. Direct Cosmetics sells this for just £3.79, so you make a saving of £6.20! Upon swatching I really liked the fact that the brush is super thin, so you can get a really precise line.

This is a fantastic dupe for the very popular Urban Decay Naked palette. Retailing at £9.99, it's not badly priced to begin with - but you can get it for just £4.99 with Direct Cosmetics! I love the shades, however as you can see in the second image some of the eyeshadows (in particular, the matte ones) don't show up very well against my skin tone. Nevertheless, this would be a great product for those of you who love your neutrals, or are eyeshadow beginners.

These products came to a total of just £23.76 with Direct Cosmetics. If you had bought them at RRP, the total amount would have been £81.55! What a bargain!
